PORCELAIN AND COMPOSITE VENEERS
Veneers are approximately 0.5-1 mm. thick, are made of porcelain or composite, and are cemented to the front surface of the teeth. The use of veneers is an indispensable minimally invasive technique for changing the colour and shape of teeth.
Porcelain veneers are prepared in a laboratory and then cemented during the second appointment. Composite veneers can be prepared in a lab; or they can be prepared in office and placed during the same appointment, using layering techniques and mimicking all the details of a natural tooth.
