Engin Taviloğlu is married, has a son and lives in
Istanbul. He graduated from Saint-Benoit French
High School and from Istanbul University Faculty
of Dentistry.
He worked for 19 years as a board member of the
Academy of Esthetic Dentistry in Turkey and works
in his office weekdays (except Wednesday) in
Teşvikiye, Istanbul. Dr. Taviloğlu treats most types of dental problems
and specializes in esthetic dentistry. In his spare
time, he is active in the arts and in sports.

Engin Taviloğlu’s goal is to create beautiful smiles while maintaining healthy tooth structure. He utilizes the most up to date dental techniques and specializes in esthetic dentistry, particularly composite applications. Dr. Taviloğlu gives lectures, workshops and teaches courses in esthetic dentistry. He has written an atlas-book and developed an application named Dental Composite. Engin Taviloğlu is the youngest child of Atıfet and Şakir Taviloğlu. He has a brother, Ali, and two sisters, Rengin and Nur. During his high school years, he met Serpil and married her in 1985. Serpil Taviloğlu graduated university with a Masters Degree in Business Administration. She retired after working in a private company for 33 years.Their son Cihan is graduated from Koc University, Faculty of Chemical and Biological Engineering. He is now working for a private company.
Engin Taviloğlu played basketball for Turkey’s first league championship winning team in 1980. Later he started playing tennis and won several tournaments. Nowadays, he plays golf and has won many trophies. He represented Turkey in model glider competitions both nationally and internationally for many years.
Engin Taviloğlu paints watercolours, which are exhibited in professional galleries. His paintings are in national and international collections. Recently, he has started to play the tenor saxophone. He has been an avid photographer since he became a dentist; initially specializing in digital dental photography, he later became interested in macro and panoramic nature photography, which he prepares on a digital platform.
He wrote an atlas book entitled “Composite Applications in Esthetic Dentistry”
and developed an application named “Dental Composite”
Dr. Taviloğlu shares cases about composite applications and practical methods with colleagues and students on social media platforms under the group name “e-kompozit”.
